The vast majority of the media has been covering for the vast majority of the liberal socialist Democrats since Obama entered the scene. Because he was the first "supposed" black president, no one in the media wanted to offend or upset him, lest they be termed racist for asking the serious and tough questions. Obama was the beginnings of all things going "woke" and possibly the beginnings of the current cancel culture. Obama was one of the worst things to ever happen to this country. For the most part, I'm against abortion, but in the case of Obama and Biden, had their mothers aborted, our country would be hundreds of times better off.
