Says to use a .44 magnum carbide die.. and a few other steps but...

.35 Remington body size is .4574
    .308 is .4709
    .300 Savage is .471 (bummer.)

So squeezing down .4709 to .4574....

TONS of work to do this!! Even the primer pocket has to be swedged a bit as it is compressed..

Seems to work with any .30-03 descendant (.30-06, .308, etc).

    From another thread...

I found an old 30-06 sizing die that was surplus, so I cut the top off just inside of the shoulder. I use this first step with half a die to size, 308 or 30-06, closer to the 35 Rem. The process is as follows

    1 anneal the 30-06 brass.
1.2 cut the 30-06 shorter to about 2 inches
2 make sure the case is well lubed!
3 used the press and a bottom punch, push the 30-06 case into the cut full sizing die until it measures the correct head diameter for 35 rem.
3.2 Lock the lock ring on the sizing die, so each case after is only pushed to a full stroke.
4 knock the reduced 30-06 case out from the top with a punch.
5 re size the primer flash hole
6 anneal and lube the resized 30-06 cases.
7 swap the sizing die for 35 Remington.
8 full size the resized 30-06 cases to 35 Remington.
9 ream out the primer pocket.
    10 trim it to length
step 11 will be to recut the extraction groove I hope to do this on a lathe. I still need to set up my lathe into the basement workshop.

Thanks for drawing my attention to the neck wall thickness, yes it measures .017 or the resized 30-06 case. I will also pay close attention to the neck wall thickness, I've ordered a reamer for this, thanks.

I think I'll just keep looking for brass. I have now over 80 pieces plus 20 loaded rounds and 300 slugs.

I dig these projects even if they don’t necessarily make sense. I formed some 6.5 creedmoor from 243 brass just to see if I could. Yeah, it’s not hard to find creedmoor brass but I like to know you can make if you need to. You’ve given me one more reason to get the 35 rem lever I always wanted

Most of my 22-250 brass was stamped 250 savage, just liked taking something and modifying to what I needed. Thanks for the write-up on this

Some case forming is great but something that takes cutting and many steps in forming and then fireforming Well those just aren't worth my time.

Learned my lesson making a couple 7mm BR. Find some brass or sell the gun.

Fireforming is one thing. But that OP sounds like a complete pain to do.
Yes... it does sound pretty labor intensive for what he's trying to make.
I'd just devote some serious time to interweb searching and find some actual brass for it.
This level of re-forming would be only worth it to me if it was a very strange/rare cartridge that I only wanted about 20 rounds of brass for.

When I did my 375 stuff, it was because I just couldn't find any anywhere.... and it got me through the rough patch till Starline started making them again...

Easiest way I have seen was 303 brass chucked into a lathe, the rim turned down to the proper diameter and an extractor groove cut. The cut it to length and size in a 35 Remington die.
