    Gentlemen,

I am considering getting one of these in the next year. Does anyone on this forum have one? If so, could you let me know what hurdles you had to deal with?

I am thinking we'll own a home in Helotes or Boerne. I doubt we'll be within the San Antonio city limits.

    Thanks!

Thats what Larry at Gunwurkz does in Beorne. Might want to give him a call and see what he did. Nice guy, I'm sure he would help answer any questions.

Several years ago I had a home FFL in Medina County. Gave it up when I moved back to SA after divorce. The real trick is you have to have a "legal place to do business" and within city limits, that could be a real challenge. I was outside city limits when I had mine and the county did not care, so, easy. The city will care and the "legal place to do business" will be looked at by ATF when you apply.

Using a small rental office is probably better. Remember when you use your house as your FFL location the ATF gets to treat it just like any other gun shop....
