Two fucking seconds?! wow... Being told to slow down is a pet peeve of mine, too. I'm obviously not shooting too fast when I'm tearing a ragged hole in the target.
They'll let you draw from a holster if you're standing to the side of the covered area, too. Good range.
Yep yep I'm a lifetime member
PNG is great, just need to be careful of fire danger and the occasional inconsiderate individuals lobbing LR/magnum rounds at odd angles (can hear them whizzing overhead on occasion).
Other thing is safety. Concealed carry is important, but no range I've been to has given me crap about carrying, and I wouldn't frequent one that did.
As a previous poster mentioned, there is an increased level of ND risk involved in forcing people to draw and clear their carry sidearm.
Also, walking back to your vehicle w/ perhaps $$$$ worth of firearms (if not more) is not something that should be done casually. One of my rules is that any range trip involves a carry piece which stays holstered with a spare mag and doesn't get fired. When shooting in PNG (or any open/NF area, etc.), it's a slung SBR in condition 1 (plus sidearm & spare mag for each) any time I'm walking downrange to my targets.
^That bugs the crap out of me as well...
You can draw from a holster at boyert if you became holster certified thru them. Not sure if that’s on top of LTC or not. Either way I like it there

If it were properly concealed there would have been no issue.
Their circus, their monkeys. Plenty of ranges in the Houston area.
Just saw this also (missed it earlier)....dayum!
