    Competition guns...dont need a guard. Also allows the shooter to wear gloves
    No gloves allowed in ISSF.

    The pistols are never loaded until they're about to be shot so trigger guards can go bye-bye, just like safeties, which most of these also lack.

    And the guard isn't terribly important when your pistols come equipped with an infrared light beam trigger safety. (No, these particular ones don't but some do.)

    was playing with a competition gun at another booth. the triggers are set so light you can almost set one off just by looking at it. definitely not the trigger on my Tikka.
