This seems to comply with the 'giving information' intent of this section of the forum. I was interested in the Houston DA contest as the last DA (Rosenthal) was less than friendly to the public being armed or having guns in personal cars. My favorite for the race is Pat Lykos but I did not know how she felt about citizens and guns so I emailed the campaign headquarters with specific questions and got a prompt and satisfactory reply.
Her representative relayed that Judge Lykos is a long time supporter of gun rights and longtime member of the Houston Gun Collectors. She does not support the Bloomberg gun initiative coming from New York.
These views will put her at odds with Mayor White and others--good on her!
