It was bad already Katrina refugees had a devastating effect.

The only solution I can see would be for the state to declare them an invasive species and authorize any and all removal methods.

Sad to say... I grew up in this area...

I got out around the time it started getting really bad (graduating class of '91), but still hard to watch and disgusted when I have to go back there for anything...

Recent incident where multiple armed gunmen run out after being shot at.
And yes, minutes count, police only an hour + away. And Assault Rifle terminology makes me cringe.

Manager had the element of surprise, the robbers never saw him till after he started shooting. Also he's lucky the bad guys started retreating not fighting back, he was out armed with that 6 shot .38 special against the SKS and the handgun by a huge margin.

If any of you guys think engaging 6 armed men is a good idea in a Micky D's you're nuts.

You've got multiple people you don't want to shoot, you've got 6 moving targets. You'll be on the move. It just isn't gonna happen.

You guys need to go out and practice shooting multiple targets set in a 180 degree range of fire. Just to see the time it takes to put that many rounds 2-3 rounds on 3-4 targets spread out from left to right.

Your only hope is they run instead of fight.

The only way I'd do that is if I thought fighting and not fighting would result in the same outcome, (me shot). Or if I was in a fortified position where I would be shielded from returning fire.

As for the drive through, you're a sitting duck. Can't tell you how many places I've in a drive through where there was no exit until the car infront of you got their food...

Big difference between an empty "Stop and Rob" and a crowded MacDonalds. I would have held fire in the MacDonalds, engaged the bad actors in the convenience store.

Keeping a car length or two between your vehicle and the one in front is always wise when stopped.

Exactly what I mean. Except we don't know how many were armed and with what. Pistol vs AK is a big difference.
