I know of a guy through a friend who has had dealings with him. He is a convicted sex offender. He is on the DPS website
his victim was a 15 year old girl. It says he had 8 years of supervised probation but he has to register for life
he has current pictures on there from last year

so my friend says he saw him in town OCing

so either he has a LTC or he is OCing without one.

is it possble that he is not a felon? how can this be legal otherwise?

so my friend says he saw him in town OCing yesterday

so either he has a LTC or he is OCing without one. On his FB page he poses with guns in his pics so he isn't trying to hide the fact that he has guns

There are misdemeanors that can result in sex offender registration. However, I am not aware of misdemeanors that can result in 8 years of probation.

I was just asking. Being a registered sex offender is not, in and of itself, a LTC disqualifier. I just did a very brief bit of research. My response above.

ok, thank you. according to DPS he has a life time registration requirement , that would also make you think it was a felony violation, or to me at least it does.

Well most of you are wrong. Not all Sex Offenders are felons. Some violations are Class B Misdemeanors.
    For example:

Sec. 21.08. INDECENT EXPOSURE. (a) A person commits an offense if he exposes his anus or any part of his genitals with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person, and he is reckless about whether another is present who will be offended or alarmed by his act.
    (b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

I'll call him back in the morning and tell him you said he's wrong.

You do that Scooter. While you have him on the phone, you ask him where in the laws that registration as a sex offender makes a person ineligible for a LTC. Specifically.

The law is there for anyone to read, despite what you "claim" Stevie says. I suspect you called no one, and are just bloviating.
