I think it works both ways. It's easy to look at countries in Europe or the current state of the United States and see huge problems. Particularly so if you compare them to countries like Japan, where there's a very singular group of people and very few social problems. Of course in order to do that you have to ignore times when those countries went crazy and tried to fight the world.

Diversity is also a source of strength, in that different cultures can bring diverse ideas and ways of doing things that a singular society can't even imagine. America was like that from it's inception through at least the 1950s or 1960s. America was the "Melting Pot". Some of you older folks can surely remember that. They used to tell "Polack Jokes" on Laugh-In. People of Polish descent usually knew the best of those jokes. Italians joked about Italians. We were all Americans but we embraced the things that made us different. Hamburgers became a nationwide food, then it was pizza, then it was tacos.

Then liberalism started to take hold. At first it was good; the Civil Rights movement was too long in coming. Then politicians and other greedy people realized that there was money to be made by dividing us against each other. Everyone became a "victim" Leaders like the late MLK, Jr. were replaced by race-baiting fools like Al Sharpton. Our borders were opened to an absolute invasion. All those "victims" pouring in became cheap labor and cheap votes to keep the libs in power. 200 years of a melting pot became a distillation column to separate and divide us against each other while liberal leaders robbed the coffers - all with the blessing of the Republicans who couldn't resist sharing a piece of the pie.

If countries would simply stop accepting every fringe idea as having value, this could all go away. Immigrants need to accept our culture, our language, and our values. If they don't like that, they should pack and go where their perversions are normal.

Our Young are already way too far along the brainwashing trail to accept any alternate explanation, no matter how simple, well-founded, & factual it may be.

They’ll have to learn the brutally hard way, after we are gone. . . . . .

Real ‘’freedom’’ spurs productivity, which just cannot be replaced by any degree of regimentation, and is poisoned by concepts like social ‘’equity’’.

If ‘’ A rising tide floats all boats’’, the exact opposite must also hold true.

The biggest difference between "then" and "now" is that imigrants wanted to be AMERICANS. They wanted to be US and assimilate.
They no longer do. Many of them despise US because we are US.
Now, they mostly just want to take what we have. If it continues the way it has been going lately, there won't be anything left for US or THEM.

Yes, the entire campaign for ‘’diversity’’ is a sham, designet to point-out and magnify cultural differences, so they could be used to drive wedges between segments of our society.

As in the old saw ‘’Divide & Conquer’’ !

The left’s contempt for the USA’s ’’E Pluribus Unum’’.

We used to take pride i our Nation’s ‘’Meting Pot’’; remember ?

Their ‘’Kryptonite’’ is an immediate reply demanding ‘’Diversity of OPINION’’ !

Houston is a great example of how diversity can be an incredibly powerful thing. It just takes a disaster to get everyone's heads in check.

When Hurricane Harvey hit, people forgot about their differences and drew from the unique structure of their communities to help their neighbors. Well, except for that Osteen guy. By the time FEMA got off their butts, a large portion of the city was well on their way to rebuilding and repairing.

Going back to the first line, sometimes it takes travesty and struggle to get people to drop petty differences. Said simply, many believe we need another war for that reason alone.

How's that worked out after the last few wars?
We've been involved in proxy wars for about 2 decades now. The last time we had any full involvement was 2001, and it arguably wasn't as 'real' to people as WWII or Vietnam likely was. The general public didn't feel it, other than everything getting more expensive.

Don't misconstrue my statements, I'm not advocating for looking to find our way into an armed conflict. Unless problems come to our shores, which ... well I'll leave that alone, that's a whole new discussion. History has shown time and again that people united are a force to be reckoned with, and there arguably isn't much of a bigger force to align a population than survival. Recent years have grown too easy, too arms-length, and too propagandized, and it's tough for anyone to say it doesn't put us at risk.
