Was looking for info and opinions on a particular weapon and ended up on an Oklahoma gun forum. I thought it would be nice to find something closer so I Googled "texas AND handgun AND forum" and this site was first in line.

i also have been searching how to make new post.

Well, I'm new (second post) but it looks like you need the "Forum Tools" button - I think that was it. It'll give you a drop down and one of the options is to post a new message.

I'm sure a Mod will clarify.

What i have been having to do before posting a reply is clicking on the small icon of the paper and quill, in the bottom right corner of each poated reply. this then moves my cursor to the quick reply box so i can type like i am now. THis is the first forum i have seenthat requires you to click that icon before quick replying. maybe there is something in preferneces

It's for people that subscribe. Otherwise they don't know what post you are replying to.

I guess I'll just remove it since you have a thread subscription as well.

I found this site while responding to some threads on my Tundra Talk Forum a few weeks ago, and thought I had better join this Forum also, even though it is a forum that's based from Texas, kind of a way from Idaho so I won't be able to go to any of the Texas based events, but I get a lot of great info and help from here.

I'm just starting in the wide world of shooting sports so this forum is going to be a tremendous help.
