Which camo pattern do you like for your clothing?

I would like a boonie hat in camo and not a baseball hat.

    Do dove hunters need gloves?

Is a camo blind for your retriever sitting at the line necessary?

Do you like waist shell bags or dove vests better?

Do army jungle boots make good dove boots?

Army brown tee shirt or camo tee shirt?

    Cargo pants?

Dog whistle and bird counter on a neck lanyard?

A pair of shades for hunting?

I made a picture of my ideal dove gear, whaddya all think?

Boots, jeans, T-shirt if it's hot (which it will be). And sometimes a straw hat!
I know dove days burn like the devil outside. That's why I'd get to the field early in the morning and set up my MOJO decoys as soon as the game laws will allow and bag a limit before the sun gets too high and book. I read "Dove Hunting" by Charley Dickey, 1976 several times. Excellent book. Mr. Dickey says the machete is handy for cutting and using any available tall field vegetation to make a hasty blind. You might want to clear out a place for your stool and dog in the sunflowers to give you cover from your birds. You surprise your birds by springing up from your seat while doves are coming in as you are already mounting your shotgun, swinging and getting a lead on your selected bird's bill then BANG!....you follow through on your swing and your good retriever should be marking the fall while remaining steady.

And supplies for the hunt itself: camp chairs, ice chests, shade, BBQ, beer, ammo, guns, did I mention beer?, cigars, and AC if at all possible. :green:
no drinking and hunting...."I hope you're smart enough to know that who-hit-John don't go with guns." - John Wayne, The Shootist, 1976.
    smoking causes cancer
    I mentioned shooting stool already.
In the dash of the Toyota Tundra taking me home by the time it gets hot.
    camo coolers
    boonie hat
    Benelli SuperNova 20 ga. pump
that's what'll happen to your doves if they stay in the hot sun too long in an ammo can BEFORE they are debreasted...that's where the camo cooler comes in

I prefer the belt bag for dove and shells. Also like a Game Guard camo light weight long sleeve shirt. I think its ventilated too?

I have used a couple of items while dove hunting. i have the bucket seat (cooler inside) and a tripod seat (my preference).

And I would not swear to where either of them are at the moment.
