An excellent resource if you do not already use it, is The Genitron Handgun database:
    https://www.genitron.com/Handgun-Database

I use it to compare models before purchase. It does offer one item I really never see in other reviews, recoil factor listed in ft/lbs. See how your LC9 stacks up to a Desert Eagle.50AE, or even a S&W .500.
    LC9 = 7.28 ft/lbs
    DE .50 = 25.46 ft/lbs
    S&W .500 = 59.30 ft/lbs

There is also Defense Factor, which is a formula based on a number of leathality factors.

    Ruger Model 22/45 Mark IV .22lr = 0.38 ft/lbs

    Colt Model 1911 Government .45 ACP = 7.11 ft/lbs

    Glock Model 19 Gen5 9mm = 5.77 ft/lbs

It's that infernal Isaac Newton showing up again.

If he had not invented physics guns would not recoil.

    Damn you Mr. Newton!!!!

Just playing around, a Taurus TCP in black has a defense factor of 55% and the pink version has a factor of 54%. I would think the pink gun would give you an edge. The other person might be laughing so hard they couldn't aim or possibly it would allow you additional shots before they could find their trigger again.

I don't need to do no stinkun comparison  between any of my handguns and ones I do not own as far as recoil goes.

Seriously, as for the ones I do own, my pistols in 22LR recoil (felt noticeable recoil) about the same as the one in 25 AUTO, less than those in 22 WMR, 32 AUTO, 380 Browning, 9mm Luger, 38 Special, 44 REM MAG, and 45 AUTO (I think that's all the caliber pistols I own). I figure the 44 REM MAG has the most recoil. All the others are somewhere between. I have learned to shoot them all well and to handle the recoil of each although that could be a bit of a problem nowadays what with my recently injured left wrist that does not seem to be getting better and for which the doctors seem to want to do nothing. So far, I am finding it impossible to get a orthopedist to see me. All that said, I may have to take a look at the comparison anyhow just out of curiosity. Thanks.

I've checked it out before just for fun to see how things compare. Its cool to see the numbers, how they change between the same handgun with different calibers.

    Is it necessary... No
    But its a cool utility.

It has a ton of gun data.

I suppose mine is not a handgun.
I use it as one, tho.
