    I had been living in blissful ignorance of the ammo shortage until right after Sandy Hook. I had a couple hundred rounds of .223 and 9mm that I bought back in the 90's. Really hadn't shot much in the last 15 years, but when I tried to stock up on a little extra, in January 2013, I soon realized there was little to none to be found. Before last year, I hadn't purchased a firearm since 1993. Last July, I bought an XDm .45, and in December, an M&P Shield 9mm to go with my Glock 17 and S&W 39-2. Finding ammo is no longer a problem, but I got sticker shock when I first started buying it. The last box of 9mm WWB I bought at Walmart in 2001 was under $6.
