^ Had a home visit a dozen years ago by 2 BATF agents because some other agent doing an audit of my FFL guy's gun store thought I was "buying too many guns". There was a followup call from the BATF regional supervisor who asked if I liked or owned machine guns. I told him "Yes" & "No". He gave me his private number in case I ever needed any assistance. All 3 agents were polite and courteous. While I know that I am on their radar (everyone who ever filled out a Form4473 is) I don't worry about them much as I got passed off as some old, fat, retired Navy guy with a sufficient disposable income to be a hobbiest gun collector now that my kids are done with 17 years of college and my mortgage and cars are paid off.

Only ever owned one AR-15. It was a Bushmaster Carbon 15. Hated it. Traded it off for a Finn Mosin Nagant. That alone put me in the BATF "ignore" zone, unlike some other people I know.

Two 1911s. One Rock Island Armory GI model, and a GI model Remington Rand/Essex. Also have two Henry rifles. A Golden Boy .22lr, and a brass receiver Big Boy in .38/.357mag. I almost forgot. Have two S&W SD9s.
