    I'm an IT manager and all true technical staff was outsourced 15+ years ago. Either through offshore vendors or through the abuse of visas. Not saying it's right but cheaper labor through robotics, building cars in Mexico or online doctor visits will continue. I always told my kids to best choose a profession that would require a physical presence if they could.

    Although robotics are getting more prevalent in a shop environment, one of the reasons we are now teaching robotics, it's still not conducive to field work. Until Skynet, robotics have to be maintained by humans.
