In cases like this, how often does the "victim's" family file a civil suit for the killing of their little snowflake who decided to commit armed robbery?

BTW The owner didn't put anyone in the store in jeopardy as he followed the crooks after they left the store. He told the cops he followed to get a better description or plate number when one robber pulled his gun.The owner then drew his pistol and they both shot at each other. The crook was hit in the stomach and he tried to cross a busy st. where he got hit and killed by a truck.THE END

I love a story with a happy ending, thanks!

Absolutely give the robber what he wants.

Because he is acting with such reckless and willfuyl abandon for his own safety, it can be surmised he is suffering from self loathing and suicidal tendancies.

Give him what he wants. Two to the chest, one to the head.

You are right, if that was not what he wanted, then what was he doing committing armed robbery in Texas?

In a justified shooting, I think the answer is 0 in Texas.
I think it's going to be a lot higher than that. I can think of two right off the bat here in Austin, it all depends on the family and the circumstances of the shooting. But I do agree with you that the numbers are most likely lower in Texas than the other states.
