    I enjoy watching the little hummingbirds. They are wide open all of the time. Earlier, we had 3 of them dive bombing each other and then they would stop for a drink and go right back at it. At one time, 2 were on the feeder and 1 was on a flower.

    We've had one for about a month. Usually have 3 or 4 hanging around as it gets warmer. The feeder is about 5 feet away from our chairs and it took him a few trips to get comfortable with us sitting outside. Fun to watch.

    We had Trumpet Vines at the last place in California. The Hummers loved them, no need for a feeder. They look like this.

    I put up a couple of feeders every year plus have a couple of Trumpet Vines growing along the back fence. I put the feeders up at the first of April (north Texas region) and take them down around end of September - helps encourage their continued migration down into Central America. Just noticed the first one yesterday, a Ruby Throated male.
