Hey Guys, my daughter is looking for a pair of binos for hunting. She has saved up $150. Is there a set that you would recommend? We have gone to bass pro shop and a couple of other places and they all look good in the store but I have no idea how they are in low light or how they will hold up. She has liked the Bushnell trophy xtremes. Any info on these? She is 17 by the way and saving up takes a lot for her so I don't want to waste her money.

Match her money and get her a pair of Nikon Monarch binos in 10 power.

Nikon prostaff 7s. 10X42. 199$ most everywhere. Excellent quality for starting out. I know it's a little above her budget, but they are a good entry level bino. Check Cabela's and online sometimes they are on sale.

What type of conditions will she be hunting in?

    Always choose clarity over magnification.

All of her hunting, so far, has been in south Texas with her longest shot at about 150 yards. But we are hoping to be able to go out west and possibly some longer shots that's why we are thinking a 10X.

    Nikon Monarch.
Got mine as a gift, so I can't comment on price.
    Great clarity at all distances.

Realistically in that price range you will
Be able to find decent clarity when in good light but not at dusk/dawn.

Alsmost any glass looks good in ideal lighting conditions, the difference comes at the first/last 15 minutes of legal light.

That being said in THAT price range or maybe slightly higher look at the Vortex Diamondback.
