    Hey all,
Does anyone know how far away you need to be from a house or road to discharge a gun in Harris County? I have a river nearby my house and want to hunt ducks there but don't wanna get in trouble. I'm in Highlands texas which is unincorporated and not in Houston city limits. Any info you can give is greatly appreciated!!

As a boy, I hunted ducks there and on the Channelview side, but that was 45 yrs ago and a lot has happened since then. I wouldn't doubt you could still hunt if you had permits to do so. There are limits on types, and that particular area is in a conservation area, so I would check with TPWD, for rules and types.
Good luck, and stay off the Railroad Tressel there. The train does not stop, btw....
