    How much energy can be made vs how much is used?
    Solar-to-hydrogen efficiency is apparently about 30%, requiring a gasoline fuel cost of $3.26 - $6.62 for equivalence from this 2016 article...

    With decreasing costs of solar panels, I would think those conditions would be improved in hydrogens favor.

    you can make your own hydrogen bubbler

    That cell actually produces Brown's gas, a stociometric mixture of hydrogen and oxygen that is actually more explosive than pure hydrogen. Here's another one...


    To produce pure hydrogen the electrodes have to be under separate collection bells in the same common vessel.

    Issue 1 is “where do we get the hydrogen” because all of our current, scalable processes use more energy than the hydrogen provides.

    In fact, current technology derives the hydrogen from natural gas, which wastes waaaaay more energy compared to simply using natural gas as the fuel.

    Issue 2 is how to store/transport it
