Last night, I dreamed about walking into my favorite gun shop to buy that newly released super blaster by XY Armscorp.

The sales guy asked for my ID, and I handed him my CHL. He said the transaction would only take about 20 minutes.

Then, before he gave me the ATF 4473, he handed me a short form the owner of the shop demands every buyer fill out.

It only had a few questions:

1. Who is the President of the United States? Check.

2. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court? Check.

3. Who are your two U.S. Senators? Check & Check.

4. Who is your Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives? Check.

5. Who is the Governor of Texas? Check.

6. Who is the Lieutenant Governor of Texas? Check.

7. Who is your State Senator? Check.

8. Who is your State Representative? Choke.

I failed the test and the gun shop refused to sell me that souper shooter.

How many of us have EVER written or communicated with our State House Representatives?

All politics is local. I've learned my lesson.
