Today I bought 10 film holders for 8x10 view cameras, several 5x7s, a few 6 1/2 x 81/2s, 4x5s and other odd sizes
These are all from the 1880s to 1930s. All wood and in useable condition.
I don't intend to put film in them (although I still have my view camera). I am going to use them as picture frames for digital work. Kind of what's old is New Again thing.
It's cheaper than having custom frames an they look good.
I have been asked to talk to a beginner's photo class. They are doing film and darkroom printing. It's going to be fun if I can keep from giving printing advice.
So far I have spent about 600 greenbacks on these..
