Welcome to the club! You really jumped in with a nice pair of SIGs.

I'm an old SIG fan myself meaning I'm old and I like the old SIGs.

This thread is a little old but since it has been recently replied on I might as well mention that I am getting another Sig P226 Stainless Elite (pure steel frame and slide goodness) in .40 S&W sometime soon. :green:

Any reason you're buying all Elite's and nothing else?

Yes there is a method to my madness, lol. For several reasons I do not like the newer revisions of the P226 that are available now. The Elite series represents the P226 in its traditional form but with some modern advantages/features that have been added but those additions do not detract from the original format of the pistol. I don't plan on getting the aluminum alloy version of the P226 in .40 S&W as I only want steel for that caliber so the acquisition of this pistol will complete my P226 collection. I will however be getting the .357 SIG barrel so I can have the option of using that caliber as well.

Very nice. A P226 was my main 9mm for years, until I finally convinced a buddy to sell me both of his 228s, so I sold the 226. 228 is by far my favorite handgun. I make believers out of Glock users every time they pick mine up! ;)

The 228 is my favorite SA pistol.
