Between the people in the San Antonio area and the travelers, it's starting to look like I may actually be able to find someone more experienced to go shooting with after all.

I've been waiting and waiting for my brother to go with me.

I want to start going at least once a month, at least for a while, until I can get to a certain level of comfort and confidence. By then I should have plenty of people to practice with and/or be comfortable practicing alone.

TGT folks have occasional get-togethers at various ranges around town. You’re more than welcome to turn out and shoot with us. Its very informal.
A few of us are headed to Dietz gun range located outside New Braunfels in the morning. See San Antonio forum in Hometown section.
