It has to be related to the Wild West and/or cowboys in general, that particular era in time.

SASS has a website with all the names already in use. Their rule says it must be different than those. There are hundreds of variations of all of them. I was going to join a year ago and start competing. The naming thing almost made me re-think the decision. I literally had/have a legal pad full of name combinations.

I do not envy you this. The name will stick and you live that persona in competition. It can be comical or serious.

Since they are all called "SHERIFF......???" It has to ring with that. I didn't have this much trouble naming my 4 kids, a dozen horses, and almost 50 head of cattle over the past 35 years. Look at names in history and start posting them against the SASS list on line to see if it is taken. Worse if your/a wife/girl friend wants to join and you must find a compliment for her. If that is the case: "USE THAT REVOLVER ON YOURSELF AND BE DONE WITH IT"

I have no name suggestions. sorry.
