    Assault on who? If any sort of 'domestic' relationship exists, you're now prohibited under federal law from possessing a firearm forever.

    Please read post #18 again. Like I said I called and I am good to go. All it says is assault. Class C misdemeanor.

    The last I heard was, the arresting authority would have to notify Austin of your offense, then Austin would revoke or suspend your license.

    If the arresting authority does not send anything to Austin, your good to go.

    It sounds like the relevant question here is, did it involve a family member per the arrest report?

    If so, It might be caught by someone else in the dpt and forwarded later on. Either way you would receive notification in the mail of your CHL being suspended or revoked.

    Won't the CHL status page also show his current status? If their track record regarding other CHL-specific snail mail notifications is any indication, it could be revoked for weeks before he got his official notice in the mail.
