Then this morning I get e mail, you have won! So had to break news to wife, she told me in no uncertain terms to sell some guns!

Sounds to me like you bought the 1911 "before" you bought the TV.
Just explain that to her.....

She just called and said she was sorry and I can keep the guns and TV, but to tell her next time I am bidding on a gun. She said that was what she was upset about that she did not know I had been bidding for over a year. Guess I am out of the dog house...

If I spend 3 hours in the doghouse, I’m popping a cork on a bottle of champagne and celebrating. That would undoubtedly be the shortest doghouse trip I had ever made.
But alas... my doghouse visits usually last much longer and seem to overlap.
