I've just rediscovered one of my (many) forgotten hobbies.

I've started re-using one of my (many) dusty kitchen appliance gadgets.

Anybody here roast their own coffee beans?

I ordered the 8 pound sampler of raw green coffee beans from Sweet Maria's.
If this sounds uppity be mindful that the beans were less that $5 a pound so it's actually frugal.
The roaster cost me less than half the price of a decent Ruger 10/22.

    Ya!

Liquid candy with a bit of sweetened condensed milk added.
A Vietnamese buddy knows the right way to do it and had offered to teach me. I should!

    It’s super easy

And it also explains why my mom seemingly never slept when I was growing up ...she drank those all day long LOL

I love coffee and drink it all day long, but never got into roasting and grinding my own beans.

These days, making a cup in the Keurig is just too easy.

Aint nothing to it really. The biggest thing is buying the coffee & sweetened condensed milk in a Vietnamese Market where is cheaper. The individual coffee steepers make it easier too.

I used to be into all kinds of gourmet coffees and still dabble, but when I bought my first Nespresso Verturo machine it changed everything. The coffees in that proprietary line are some of the best I have ever had and the machine puts a small head of foam on each cup. Each aluminum pod has a mini bar code that tells the machine how much water to add...from a small espresso to a 12 oz cup. Pretty amazing! I still drink brewed coffee from my Bunn and Kuerig, but each night before I sit down for my two hours of television viewing, I have a Nespresso and feel like Danny Devito in the commercial with George Clooney.

I started developing migraines a few years ago.

Neurologist said caffeine was a common trigger.

Stopped drinking coffee for a few months.
    Mornings were not easy.
    Still got migraines.

So I’m back to drinking coffee LOL

A local restaurant sells what they call Rocket Fuel.
    - coffee
    - MCT powder
    - ghee butter
    - coconut oil
    - maple syrup
It’s now my go-to morning beverage, I make it at home
