This is a midterm election year, which usually doesn't garner the attention that presidential election years do. However, there's certainly the real possibility that we could be looking at one party government again, like in 2009-11. If so, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that many of the insane gun control measures will get ramrodded through. Do you expect another round of panic buying this fall if the dems do indeed consolidate their power, or is a flip in the House (coupled with holding the Senate) too low profile despite the inevitable consequences?

There will be another run before 2016.

Buy ammo now while it's available and not insanely priced.

If the Dems take it all expect massive gun control legislation to be passed. They are pissed they couldn't get it after Sandy Hook and they aren't going to care how constitutional or illegal any of it is. They will pass what they want and let the courts decide on if it should stand.

As far as a panic if it does happen, history says it will, but my only question would be would it be too close to the last panic to be as bad? Of course if they are talking about banning anything, that anything will surely disappear overnight, but if they leave ammo out of it, perhaps that won't spark a feeding frenzy for ammo like we seen last year.

I really don't know, but you can be assured I personally am not taking any chances. The worst that can happen is I have enough guns, ammo and accessories to last a few lifetimes. :peace:

Yes, if the Dems take the House and keep the Senate, there will be a panic every bit as bad if not worse than post Sandy Hook.

And that will be the least of our problems.

While I think its prudent to be prepared for the worst, I don't think the sky is falling. We could "what if" this to death.

I haven't heard any credible pundit suggest that the Republicans could/would loose control of the House even if they lost a few seats. Right now its 233 to 200 in favor of the Republicans. Most have suggested the republicans will pick up a few seats riding on the AHC, NSA, Benghazi et al fiascos. It doesn't seem likely they would loose 33 seats. Historically, a sitting president's party looses House seats in second term mid-term elections. Everything points that way.

The Senate is a different story. Currently 53 to 45 in favor of the Dems with a couple of independents thrown in. 33 seats will be contested. Most are predicting the Dems, by a slim margin, will hold the senate but loose some seats. It's all comes down to the swing states. As long as Obama keeps doing what he's doing there is a possibility Republicans could gain the Senate. That is the race to watch.

There are already ads being aired against several of the incumbent Damnocrats using the "If you like..." manure that was spewed when Obuttfuckcare's implementation was in progress. The Affordable Care Act is going to, quite possibly, bite some of the Damnocrats in the ass but if the kool aid swilling, low information, brain-dead voters are bussed out in force as they have been in the past, there could be some upsets in the midterm elections....upsets that will be disastrous for us conservatives.

Though I dont foresee losing the House, I can see us picking up seats in the Senate. It all depends on WHO gets out and votes. Now is the time to talk to folks, spread the word. As far as "panic"....I am just buying ammo every chance I get. I dont care who is in power, all it takes these days is for some moron up there to utter the words "gun control" and people freak out.

Historically the party of the President loses seats when times are good. When times are Jimmy Carter looks good now and ambassadors are dying bad, It's more likely to be a Democrat bloodbath in 2014.

we were told the same things in 2012 and they made gains including 4 more years of The One. as always the right lives in denial that the demographics of this country are rapidly changing in the favor of the left and the free shit crowd outnumbers anyone who works for a living. The GOP as always is a mess, inarticulate and cant even unite on anything such as amnesty (which will pass this year).

being a realist here. you cant win against santa clause.

Dems take over everything~~~~~~~~~~~THEN WE HAVE TOTAL TYRANNY !

so we didn't prior to 2006? i think we did, but heads didn't come out of the sand until after 2008. good thing they still allow you to keep your guns, right? :)

We'll be damned lucky if the GOP can pull its head out of its ass long enough to come up with candidates that people WILL vote for. They've already proved they're gutless and have no balls when it comes to opposing the Damnocrats in the Senate so for them to stand up and "be counted" for the mid-term elections, they're going to have to grow a spine and make a solid stand on the issues.

When the takers outnumber the makers and there is no check on non-linear taxation, that's the ultimate result of democracy. Particularly now that there is an Alice-in-Wonderland ethic regarding self-reliance: "Need" is a virtue to be rewarded, independence a vice to be punished. Just listen to the almost pride people express when they talk about their subsidies via the ACA website, or their Obama phones. The code phrase is "voting economic self-interest".

This same principle extends to 2nd amendment issues: if you are armed (i.e. defensively independent), then that needs to be redistributed as well. In this case, instead of arming everyone, everyone is made equally defenseless via confiscation/increasing bans/nerfing weapons and one must rely on the benevolent state for protection in all matters. DC is a perfect example of that (arrest over one inoperable shotgun shell) and make no mistake, it is the model being used for the nation.

In my teacher training program in college they beat us over the head to make the kids "interdependent". It was unreal but its why i was there. The more i read about education policy in this country and what the aims were and who the leaders were historically i became more emboldened.

So i got me a teaching job out in the country and acted as a filter to the socialist garbage and it was a conservative rural district so not a huge radical agenda anyways. But then i started to see how unaware people are of the larger issue and the creeping socialism, especially when they either came from broken homes and also "had theirs". People dont question the system that has provided for them and im not just talking handouts. Corporatism is part of socialism and that is huge in rural areas due to big ag and the subsidies.

So my radical takeover of the education system having been thwarted in my former state i gone to Texas.

My focus now is to get out the votes we have and to try and build communities and strengthen families.

TL;DR: The left starts early but we need to ensure the fields they plow are full of stones.

Wow. This could be awesome. The GOP could win the Senate....and then be in control of the same pieces of trash that chastise the good members of their party for stepping out of the establishment line. It'd be like have Krispy Kreme in control!!
