If you can't do this, you aren't prepped

I read a lot about "oh I'm prepped." or "I have the gear necessary and the mindset." But the thing people always forget is YOU are the most important piece of your gear. A lot of armchair super soldiers out there.. But the real challenge is ... if you can't do this you should sell all your crap because it's worthless anyway.

At the same time there are a lot of people who do the training and haven't the mind for the chaos that will ensue. You can be in the best shape of your life but if you don't have the mental wherewithall to live through some dark times, you are probably going to be smoked by a fat guy who does.
While I agree PT should be part of one's prep, to say if you can't do this or that you may as well just give up seems a bit off base.

My "gear" is better suited for staying put.
Just for grins, I think I'll "run" (they used the term rather loosely) soon.
    Not down a road either.
Shoot 200yds, run to that target. Shoot 200 again, run to that target.
Shoot 300, run to that target. Then run 700 yds back to the starting point.
Some of y'all have seen my range and understand the terrain.
I may need more than 40 minutes.

Run? Probably not. Saunter at a leisurely jog? For sure!

I'm old. Nearly constantly in pain somewhere and I smoke. Running is not an option.
But I live in the country. There are woods 75 yards from the door.

If I get there, would you want to follow me?

I promise you that you do not want to follow him into the woods. Might be a better bet to just set the woods on fire and be done with it. Lol.
