Just out of curiosity, will anyone even know that you turned your tv off?

They know what your cable/satellite box is doing....I'm on OTA antenna, now that it's digital I'm not sure what try can tell.

If you do the black out and have a box, make sure you turn it off too or they will think your still watching.

Just out of curiosity, how do the networks know when and what you're watching? Isn't that how they know what their ratings are for certain shows? I remember during the presidential debates they would report how many watched and which ones.

As far as demographics, they get all your info when you sign up.

So, you don't nessecarily have to turn your box off you could just watch the Sportsman channel instead? Then they'd know I'm watching Personal Defense TV instead of the inauguration?

With all the problems this country is having with the debt ceiling........this is such a waste of tax payer's money.......millions of dollars! I don't care if John Wayne was the President.....if it's his 2nd term in office the Inauguration is a total waste of time and money.
