Joining ARC. *If they'll have me.

During an IDPA shoot this weekend I had a pretty long conversation with an ARC member. I'm in.

Anyone else interested in going through this process with me or have any advice on the process?

As much as I like BOTW (plan on "joining" there too) and I do, I think ARC is a better place to build community.

I joined ARC about 5 years ago. The process is different now, although it's still easy, just takes some time is all.

I think it's well worth it. Everyone I've come to know there is good folks.

Lately I've been going about once a week, during the week. There might be a handful of shooters during the day. You can really get to know other members like this.

Let me know if I can be of any help to you.

I was thinking about it before I bought my own place. Wondering if it might still be worth it... Can you shoot steel targets out there? Clays laid up on the berm?

breakingcontact, welcome, I have been a member for several years. Yes, there is a process to join, but it is a club, not a public range. During the week you may be the only person on the range and it is not isolated, they need to keep all rounds in the range. The process may seem involved, but the club wants safe shooters. The advantages are they do allow shooting from a draw and rapid fire as long as each shot is an aimed shot, no hip shooting. Major advantage, no range fees after the initiation fee and $100 per year for 365 day a year access.

Like said, process is easy. They just want ti make sure everyone shoots safely. The orientation class was actually very good. Found out all that is offered.
We go twice a week...would be happy to help in anyway I can
