Please contact your Senators / Representatives and urge them to support both of these bills. To find out who your elected officials are, visit this website : http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/ and enter in your information.

Then send them an email or write a letter. It doesn't have to be long or complex if you don't want it to be, just a simple request to support the bills (identify them by number) will suffice.

Please get involved and take 5 minutes out of your time and contact your representatives. They are paid from your tax dollars, and the government works for YOU, but only if you bother to get involved and make your voice heard.

I'm a nerd with no life, so I'll tell you about my day ...

Yesterday was a real treat for me, my wife, and youngest son. We had the pleasure of meeting State Senator Dan Patrick, co-author of SB730, in Austin yesterday. After he spoke to a group we support, he took time to speak to, and take pictures with, those of us that live in his district.

I thanked him for his hard work, and especially for supporting our causes.

I visited State Rep. Gary Elkins' office, as I had a 10:30 appointment, but he was still on the floor. Spoke with his staff. Very pleasant staff.

Anyhoo, I just followed up with another email. Guys, take 5 minutes and let Austin know we need them.
