In town for the weekend

My wife dragged me to Austin this weekend. I will have a few hours to kill Saturday morning. Anything fun to do gun related? Also, are there any local stores that carry 511 gear? I need a new backpack and like the way the 511 packs look.

Make a visit to McBride's gun shop. Nice place to kill some time.

GT Distributors is in austin, open 9 - 2 Saturday. They have lots of 511 stuff.

There is also a gun show, SAXET, at the Travis County Expo Center on Decker Ln.

Cabela's ain't bad, but it's way south in Buda, and if you've been to bass pro or something, it's basically the same, though they have a cool gun library (very expensive old guns) and a huge gun dept, indoor mountain, cafe upstairs with wild game on the menu, it's quite a store. There's Red's indoor range, but it's nothing special. I would spend some time bar hopping 6th, or pick up a chronicle (free liberal rag you can find just about anywhere) and find a good place to get some grub/beer. Go to Zilker park and have a swim at Barton Springs.
