    Texas!
An interesting letter credited to an Australian Shooter Magazine.

"If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers."
" The firearm death rate in Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means you are about 25 per cent more likely to be shot and killed in the US capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the US, than you are in Iraq."
Conclusion: The US should pull out of Washington.

I'm not sure I'd be quite all that proud of that stat considering what we are comparing against.....It's fucking Iraq. You sorta expect people to be shooting at you in Iraq. DC is our freaking capital, you'd expect to be able to walk the streets with hundred dollar bills taped to you nipples and not be bothered by anybody, much less have a rate of 60 someodd gun related deaths per 100K. That's nuts.

Even worse: rootin tootin Texas where we have all these crazy gun nuts and cowboys running around with pickups loaded with fireamrs and ammo we have a whole 11 (1 year) per 100K. Our other favorite, Arizona, only manages almost 19. Those whacky Arizonans don't even need a CHL to be packing heat and they only run the score up to 19? Pussies.

I would be interested in seeing who the actual death rates belonged to. Criminal or victim? If its victims of criminals on the statistic, then 1 is to many. If the statistic includes the criminals, then that statistic is wrong!!!
