One of the most ironic things most dont seem to grip is that for one of the first times in recent history ( as in since all 50 states were in the union) is that the power in the house of reps greatly shifted during a VERY GOOD economy. That is pretty rare.

Now if trump loses in 2020 ( will directly be determined by how white people vote and how democrats agitate and pander to non-whites) and the economy has similar numbers there will be irony in that obama was reelected with a pretty bad economy. Does that mean obama was reelected because of affirmative action?

The GOP loss in the house was not unexpected at all....and is actually normal for the first mid terms of an administration. They fared better than most thought and far better than Obama and even Clinton, who also had a good economy. And of course the senate stayed the same or the GOP even picked up a little if I remember.

Obama winning in '12 was less about anything he did and more about who he was running against IMO, Mitt, who was an absolute stooge of a candidate. It was like he didn't even want to win for the last month going into the election. Possible he really didn't.

The left will try and destroy/minimize the economy any way they can between now and '20. Started right after the tax cuts with all their talking points about "crumbs" when working people were not only seeing a tax cut, but getting bonuses, more opportunities and higher wages as a result. It's just whether they can convince people that they are better off with less in exchange for the feds running their lives.

Every time there's a news report about a company coming back to the US from overseas or expanding and employing more Americans, it infuriates them. Tells you all you need to know.

I heard a Democrat talk on the radio today and he is pissed at the Democratic party and the Trump Witch Hunt. He said the piling on is unnecessary and wrong. I heard a Democratic Couple who think the Democratic party has lost their mind. They said they will be voting Trump in 2020. When you start piling on a guy and its unnecessary you are going to look like a bully. Its going to bite you down the road. Nobody loves a bully.

I see some Democrats not voting for the Democratic party in 2020. I see some more minorities switching over because of the economy. the only thing they can cry is racism. That is going to wear thin. The pocketbook talks and BS walks.

I'm seeing a lot of that. Some lifelong leftists are saying that many of the alt left are not real leftists, like the KKK taking an alt right stance.

Not so sure. Trump got elected and he had no qualms about bullying. Many didn’t like it, and many did.


The issue with the left isn’t bullying. It’s insanity. People love a bully as long as the bully is going after the right people. Trump will get a pass for being a bully in from many because he’s not insane, the economy is strong, he pretends we are getting out of Syria, he’s pretty middle of the road on most social issues, and he probably does actually give a damn about middle America.

The left probably won’t get a pass because they have moved far to the left of the majority of Americans. They side with those who attack innocent people in the street, scream racial slurs at minorities, openly call for socialism, openly call to abolish ICE and open the borders completely, and promote race based segregation and equity.

After 3 years in office and having none of the nightmare scenarios the left claimed would come to pass, there won’t be much to run on. Hell, a lot of moderate democrats are probably realizing that Trump is actually a moderate. Even the evil Brett Kavanagh is pretty damn tepid and not nearly as strong willed in his adherence to the constitution as many would prefer (IMO anyways).

That right there is the key. First presidential candidate who did in over 30 years and made all the difference. Middle America has been getting their teeth kicked in while both parties fell all over each other pandering to every single faction that there is other than them at their expense, including those who aren't even supposed to be in the country. They just wanted a fair shake and to work, raise their families and love their country like they always have.

Can't ever say what's in the dude's head, but his actions have shown that he does give a shit.....or at least appreciates catering back to the neglected people that matter pays off politically. Either way, it's a win.
