Great idea, It should be a lot of fun and well worth $15.00.

Jacobs Plain club is a great club, but in the middle of nowhere, so take water and something to snack on if you want to stay past noon.

This looks interesting. Are 22LR pistol shooters not welcome?
Well, the pistol shooters are certainly welcome, it's just that 22LR is not one of the calibers permitted by the rules. To play at USPSA, you'll need to have .38-Special caliber or above. I think you'll find that most of the USPSA shooters will be using either 9mm, .40S&W, or 38-super...with a sprinkling of .45acp.

It would be nice to have a 22LR division - sure would save a lot of money on ammo!

Best place I know of for 22LR competition is Dallas Pistol Club http://www.dallaspistolclub.com in Carrollton - they have steel plate matches and the 22LR's absolutely ROCK at that stuff!
