Hi, Glockster69, just sent a not to TGT admin. We didn't realize there are commercial charges since we are not selling anything via website and such. But if the admin feels we have gone afoul, then Shady Oaks Gun Range will make it right for sure. Ultimately Shady Oaks Gun Range is meant to serve Central Texans and we wanted to be sure Texas Gun Talk users are aware of what is coming. We've provided our contact information to the TGT Admin and will certainly correct any errors and or remove our Forum Post if need be. Thanks for the heads up on this matter.

Let us know when grand opening is. I've always wanted to go to one for a range. Maybe y'all can do something special like bbq and give out day one membership cards (more as a souvenir than anything else).

Speaking of which, how do you plan your pricing to be?

Shady Oaks Gun Range in not actually in the country, its actually within Cedar Park, but we have ample room for growth. Depending on future demand we fully expect to add a 50 Yard indoor lanes. We are within the city, so outdoor range is not likely. It's up to our customers how we ultimately use the entire 7 acre space. The speed of our expansion and the retail offering will depend entirely on how much you all promote the and the business. So SPREAD the word. If you want an advanced indoor gun range, then this is the place for you.
I believe hotwells in within the city of Houston and is an all outdoor range. I agree with the comment above, if there was and indoor and outdoor with steel targets... you might be on to something.

Nothing wrong with Outdoor Range Facilities. The advantage to the indoor range are: 1.Electric Target placement, so each shooting lane is 100% independent of what other shooters are doing. You stop firing when you want to stop, not when someone else wants to walk down range.2. No walking down range so you will shoot more in less time at your own time and pace. 3. Ballistic Booth Walls to ceiling keeps other's Brass off you. 4. Air flow will always be cool, dust free and down range! this is key for safety and health 5. Weather is never an issue. 6. Lighting is never an issue, you can shoot well past dusk. 9am to 9pm is typical. There are not too many 100+ yard indoor range being built these days due to cost, but there are some. Outdoor facilities will always serve customers as well as indoor facilities.
