I'm just not liking the red dot a whole lot.
Looking for a decent set of irons to put on my sportical, gas block mount on front.
I'm hoping for some suggestions or maybe someone has a set for sale.

    Thanks.

I like Troy, just make sure the front and rear are compatible heights. Magpul makes good stuff on the cheap, but I don't know if they make one to go on the gas block, which would melt it IF it were even a compatible height.

They do - Magpul came out with a folding steel set, the Magpul MBUS Pro.

For rear-sights, I've loved the Matech ever since a buddy recommended them; I like the ability to change distance immediately:

DD A1.5 rear sight fixed and Troy folders are two that I've used and would recommend to anyone. Both are BUIS without elevation but are very light and quite utilitarian.

I like the fixed sights for irons vs folders. If I'm in a tactical situation with paper, watermelons or cans advancing at me I don't have time to flip up sights! lol

I have used the Troy fixed sights (F&R) and the Daniel Defense A1.5 rear. I like both.

If I'm running a scope I don't usually run backup irons with it. I know, weak, I'll probably die in the zombie apocalypse for my "non-tactical ness" but I'll take my chances.
