Really? The left has become more and more radical and you think as they escalate, sure milkshakes today but who knows what tomorrow, that the right will just sit back and take it? And, if (when) the left takes control of the government and starts pushing socialism that wouldn't radicalize the right?
The right needs a political party. The uniparty is not working.

Like the Revolutionary war & Civil war, it's about MONEY - cheap labor. Britain wanted product, tax $ and cheap labor. North had lots of semi-educated from Europe to run the machines, South needed cheap labor to work the fields. Note the new bill to provide amnesty for farm workers backed by large corporate farms. Talk about re-writing history, what's his name was a union worker AGAINST cheap Mex labor. Now held up as a 'hero' for imported labor.

Already in a civil war. Doesn't require the military to be patrolling the streets - we have factions fighting each other all over. ANTIFA vs Proud Boys, BLM vs the police / citizens, ANTIFA vs police. Cities across the country have had numerous riots, parts of said cities have burned. Lots of lives lost. Businesses destroyed. People injured. Lives ruined. They are vying for political control. The factions have political backers - the lefty radicals support BLM and Antifa - while the RINOS/NeoCons/Conservatives generally back police and give lip service to the people. Libertarians aka Lolberts sit back, scream about the "atrocities" from both sides, and don't really go anywhere because they are a shit-show in their own right.

We don't have sides going at one another with tanks and automatic weapons - yet. We do see one side especially like incindiary devices/molotovs, lasers employed to cause blindness, etc. The other side employs "chemical weapons" aka tear gas (except where their lefty masters forbade it) and impact weapons mostly. There have been live rounds exchanged, multiple times, from both sides.

One side has set up numerous "occupied zones" and taken over government buildings, even with the support of certain government agents and officers. Same side has extorted people for resources, murdered innocents, and engaged in other unspeakable acts.

We've been in a hot civil war for over a year. The power players behind the scenes like it. It will ultimately lead to them having more authoritarian control, or the downfall of the Republic and balkanization. No more American super power. There's a slim chance a second American Revolution would happen and patriots would regain control and right the wrongs, execute the traitors, and life could, maybe in a generation, get back to "normal" - but that doesn't seem to be the most likely outcome.

Speaking of which, I saw the trailer for the "Karen" movie yesterday. If it wasn't clear that Hollywood is lost, there's now zero doubt.
Yeah, saw that trailer too. I was trying to figure out on what fantasy world that was supposed to take place on.

    Soon to be Texan
The civil cold war has been against ANY NON-pinko-Commie/NON-lefty for years, as of late...
in CA, NJ, NY, WA, VT, even AZ, OR, ME, VA, ETC, ETC, ETC...

It might change in the future, when the policies of the ignorant-zombies meets Gen-WOKEZ, and SOME realize they have to do something other than play video gamez, and drop beats into fruity-loopz (FL Pro)... to make a living.

    We shall see...

This was a great post. It got me thinking though, could the size of U.S.A. have some delay in the conflict being "hot" on a national stage. Clearly there are regional conflicts and lost states.

For any type of Balkanization to occur in my opinion it would require a total utility or federal .Gov failure. That being said, if you compressed all the current issues coast to coast and packed them into an eastern block or middle east country it would definitely be total chaos.

Have we any late cases of a large scale failure of something the size of US? I will do some digging into the USSR, but did supply lines remain open and some utilities remain running in the new eastern block states?

Standing back from relative safety of my plot in Texas I feel ok. On a larger scale though, i feel like we are standing on a diamond on a plate of glass over a gator pit. I could point out a couple handfull of systemic failures that are ready to bust at any time. There are people that are actively dumping gas and tossing matches.
