So I order some fishing tackle from Karl's Bait & Tackle.
In my order I order their mystery gift. You know a box of stuff they claim a higher retail value then the asking price. I did not sign up for their monthly mystery box. I check my bank statement & see a charge for Karl's & I'm not even pissed off about it as I'm starting from scratch on fresh water tackle any way. I contact Karl's via e-mail and mention the charge for the mystery box & having NOT signed up for the monthly. I also say go ahead & ship this one, but no more after that.

So I get an e-mail back saying they are sorry as I do not have the monthly mystery box subscription an they apologize again. Charges may take a couple of days to show up on statement. Next I get a rate our customer service e-mail. In my rating I leave in the comments about saying I'm fine with this chard & to send it, but I'm ignored. Nice business model they have of turning away sales. Wonder what country is handling their customer service?

I got sick of these underhanded business tactics, so I got even by signing up that Nigerian prince with a fortune to give away as a monthly package customer. With any luck, this should bring balance back to the universe.

    I'm confused.

You got charged for something you didn't order. Understandable.

You said send it anyways but instead they are refunding your money and you're ranting about that?

It's the failure of people to follow written instructions, hence the title of the thread. My guess some one is reading and acting on e-mails & customer service one at a time. If they get that confused they can go back & read it gain.

I get that, sent an email to tech support with a specific problem only to get a link with general instructions. They don't read.

You do realize they might have some policies about sending out stuff folks didn’t sign up for or allowing charges that folks didn’t sign up for to remain on their card.

I would think the fact it's in writing not verbal with a wink & a nudge would cover that.

I spent a good part of last week dealing with Roku's customer service. In Roku case
I was dealing with Sujatha my guess in India. India has been speaking & writing in English for what 100 years! If she would have took the time to read what I wrote instead of do 5 different complaints at once I'd be watching TV right now
