Yeah, he did seem to pass on the prove it part yesterday!
Too ignorant stubborn or stupid to take the multiple opportunities to back out or mitigate the damage from train wreck he was orchestrating.

Opinions are one thing, he went full retard for the full ride.

I’m waiting for him to start a thread about the stupidity of people that choose 5.56.

I will require lots of popcorn!

How did I miss this thread?

    Can't wait for the answers.........

    V-Tach,

ImVho, you missed very little by NOT reading this thread, except perhaps NOT getting a belly-laugh at "JoeAmerica's" expense.

To quote Prof. Leonard Gershe, the gent who wrote BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE, "Even blind guys like me can see better than those who choose to not see the obvious truth in any given situation."

The fact that you don’t know the Weaver Family story at Ruby Ridge shows your ignorance on subject of modified gun barrels.

I’m right, you are wrong. “Legal” or not, your “expert” online advice isn’t going help anybody.

You are setting people up to get busted, hurt or killed. Or at the very least telling someone to trash their firearm for bs tough guy range talk, all so you can walk away with laughs and good ol’boy story. I’ve met a lot of clowns like you in real life. You talk a big talk, but that’s about it.

Y’all are mad cause I called bullcrap. Deal with it like an adult.

My advice to anybody reading this thread is to steer WAAAAAY clear of these people. It will only end up really bad for you.
Wow, is this guy for realz?

I had my suspicions about that as well somewhat earlier when I pondered whether we was going to vent about our misplaced trust in 5.56

    cycleguy2300,

FYI, as my friends here & elsewhere know, I'm "no particular fan of" either the AR16/M-16/M4 sort of rifles in 5.56mm for hunting any animal over 100 pounds, as it as the well-founded reputation as a "poor killer" & as a "good wounder".
(WOUNDING, rather than KILLING, is PREFERRED from a military tactical standpoint, as a soldier who is KIA is a problem only for Graves Registration but a WIA soldier takes 6-8 persons to care for the wounded SM.)

My PREFERENCE for HUNTING any animal over 100# & up to game that is larger/tougher than elk is a 7.62NATO/.308WCF or larger caliber & in a PUMP shotgun/rifle.
(As a "WRONG-HANDED guy", I'm very fond of & collect REMINGTON pump rifles. - My "HEAVY rifle" is a Model 760 in 9.3x62mm that Jessie at JES reformatted for me.)

    just my OPINIONS, satx

In general, a heavier caliber for large game is the way to go.

With good shot placement, one 'can' effectively kill larger game with smaller calibers.

    How do I know?

I've killed more than one large hog with a .17 HMR and it was one shot/one kill.

I always use my 300 Weatherby (180 gr.) for anything <100 lbs...........

    45-70 500 gr. for <200 lbs.........

    50 BMG 750 gr. for >200 lbs...............

    Mowingmaniac 24/7,

UNDERSTOOD. Nonetheless, I'll stick to my Model 760 in .300SAV or .308/7.62NATO for game larger than our (almost MINATURE) Texas WT.
(Fwiw, we had a POACHER in my home county some years ago, who was killing WT at night BY THE DOZENS & 12 months a year with a .22LR . rifle- The Game Warden finally caught that "sweet ole boy" & he got a HUGE FINE & a YEAR "as a guest of TDC".)
Despite his "success as a poacher", I do NOT regard anything less than a .250SAV as a "generally suitable caliber" to HUMANELY take deer

Cut your barrel down, blab about it on the internet, watch the ATF show up.

DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM THESE KEYBOARD “EXPERTS” THEY ARE SETTING YOU UP.
