Find a used marlin Camp 45 and spend the rest on ammo.
Darn you for making me think!

If I started with a Camp Carbine in 45, I could SBR it, maybe add a custom stock, and have something that looks (from a distance) like a Reising. That would be almost as cool as a UMP clone.

There are too many good (and potentially expensive) ideas floating around this board. I shouldn't spend so much time here. ;)

Ben; .. you and me both.. i'm going almost 100% 45 now.. and the idea of having a 45 appeals to me.. i also like the way the nature of the round makes the magazine more of a straight as opposed to "banana" and have always like the Reising.. and the Marlin camp carbine..

thanks, this all fits.. i'd much prefer used to new anyway, so i'm "on the hunt" for a Marlin.. The SBR thing doesn't mean anything to me, but that doesn't mean some stock mods can't be made..
