It looks like I got bit ...Ruger Ranch Rifle

I saw it in the corner of the gun store, just sitting there... I knew better, but I picked it up anyway.
It’s s neat idea and I like it. Ruger’s new Ranch Rifle in 556, is a bolt gun takes AR 15 Magazines and has a 16” threaded barrel.
I just can’t stop thinking about it..(buying it).. and putting a decent 3X9 on it, (I already have 2 spare ones to pick from)
I’m normally a Savage bolt gun guy, but I am just intrigued by this rifle.
Savage has a similar offering but it’s going to be at least 2 C notes more.
I’m thinking of a rifle to keep in the truck whilst driving the country side, I might see something that needs shot.

Why not just get a mini 14?

Had one years ago and hated it.
They are generally terrible on accuracy, real splattermatics, heavy and bulky.
This rifle is 2 inches shorter and weighs a full pound less than a mini 14 and cost almost half as much.
