    In the woods...
Happy birthday. How I wish I could be 40 again, that ain't old at all.
I concur. I'm about to be 59, and I consider myself fortunate if only ONE part of me is causing major pain at any given time. I just got over a thrown-out back. That had me walking crooked and unable to drive any distance for about six weeks. Now, my elbow is killing me to the point I have trouble buttoning a shirt - but it is getting better due to ice-treatments.
Last night, one of my teeth woke me up. It flares up occasionally. I just accept it all as a reminder that I'm still alive!
It's hell getting old. It beats the alternative.

Youth and age are a sliding scale. Anyone 10 years younger than you is a kid and anyone 10 years older than you is an old person.

Agreed. Old is like Rich. It's a sliding scale based on where you are. By the time you finally admit toone or the other, or both, it's usually to late to really enjoy it.

So learn to enjoy things now. Weeks, months, years seem to move at warp speed after 40. If you don't pay attention, you'll be posting about turning 50 in what seems like next month.

Heh! Forty is not old! Happy birthday sir! My birthday was last Saturday but we're not very close in age. My friends tell me I'm gettin' old and answer back with, "Well, it beats the crap out of NOT getting old!"

Thanks y’all. I don’t think 40 is old but my wife sure likes to pick on me and say it is. She’s a keeper though.

And I certainly don’t feel old in this crowd. I suppose if I do start feeling that way I can always mention it and get reminded I’m still a young’un.

I’m gonna look into the 9mm conversion barrel with the proper extractor too. I already have some mags that will work with that.
I never had any issues using the 40 extractor. The barrel is all I had.

40=middle age.........enjoy, it goes by quickly..........

Why are used .40 Glocks so cheap and 9mm Glocks aren't?

....and the G22 is a fine gun....owned two over the years....but sold them both...

Leo trade ins of both are cheap. The 9mms are just harder to find.

Give it a few years since many departments are just recently switching back to 9mm.

Why has OP not posted pics of his new (spit-spit) Glockenboomer?

OP is sooooo old he now has CRS disease?
    Busy, busy, busy.

Slide is more stiff than my 19 that has about 300 rounds. It’s really clean. Slide release has some wear and a very little on top of the slide. It looks like it never came out of the holster.
