    That place east of Waco....
Sounds like you are kind of, sort of, almost taking the side of the RSA's current government. If that is correct, please can you explain why you might be doing so. I must admit ignorance on my part as I have no clue, other than what I read here, as to what is going on there or as to which side I might consider in the right; any info to enlighten me would be appreciated.
I was referring to the citizens protecting their neighborhoods, not the government.....

Whatever happened to the paradise that was supposed to exist after they defeated Apartheid? Where were the millions of homes they were supposed to build under Mandela?

I met a guy who got stupid rich build low cost housing in RSA. He was buying up ranches close to the border with Zimbabwe near the border town of Messina, Zimbabwe. Daily there were low pass fly overs of French Mirage jets. It was surreal!

Damn shame. I think the white citizens / residents of SA should probably collectively pull the pin, get the **** out and request refugee / immigrant status in a European or American country, or maybe Australia..........
Nope won’t work. Too easy for them to assimilate into our culture. They can probably think for themselves, most likely have greater ambitions than living off the government trough, and don’t fit the narrative O’Biden and his lackeys are ramming down our throats. If I sound cynical, it’s because I am.

Let's see, kill all those that produce food, create jobs and bring stability. Add many different tribes that all believe they are better than the others. What could go wrong? Why do you think people like Elon Musk left for the U.S.A.?

This has been going on since the 50s, people who know how to work the land run out by a bunch of thugs. Same as Haiti, most of SA & middle east..
This has been happening more lately (since around 2015 I believe) under the South Africa Land Reform. They not only have been murdering the farmers, but also the farm hands.

But against whom are the citizens protecting their neighborhoods? Is it always good or better for citizens to protect their neighborhoods or themselves from the government or from other groups? I believe it's only good for citizens to rebell against the government - or fight other groups - when the people protecting themselves from the government or other groups when the government or the other groups whom they fight are actually the bad guys.

Thus I cannot support groups fighting for what they claim is good and who claim to be fighting for their neighborhoods when those groups are akin to ANTIFA or BLM. It is a fact - they support socialism, communism, anarchy and racism and I see no reason to support such groups even though they claim to be the suppoorters of freedom. I hope you agree and think you probably do so but it was abit unclear without me asking.

Anyway, my point was more so to point out my ignorance and ask for someone to clear it up for me. I really want to know on what side of good or evil are these folks who supposedly are citizens protecting their neighborhoods? Are they the good guys or the bad guys? I truly have no clue which side is the better side in said fight in South Africa at this point in time. I used to keep up better on world affairs and must admit, I do miss reading the Soldier Of Fortune Magazine, of the early through late 1980s, because despite how the mud slinging media portrayed them (and it always amazed me how many people on the right fell into the leftist trap of the poison pen and wound up damning SOF just like the leftist media) they at SOF kept their readers very abreast of what was going on in places in the world that the media totally ignored until they could ignore it no more. Anyway, I still admit ignorance and hope to be enlightened; so, if anyone else can clue me in, as to which side is on the right currently in SA, please do so.

So, would they not be exactly whom WE want to immigrate to the USA as opposed to every possible reprehensible law breaking wetback that the Biden administration hopes to allow into this country?

Here I Must Digress A Bit In Protection Of Myself (after seemingly having been threatened with a ban should I continue to use the term wetback): Allow me to reiterate, for the benefit of the mystery moderator who annonymously tried to tell me, not long ago, the term wetback is more or less borderline racist - no it is not! That is unless you buy into the leftist tactic that everything someone on the right says is racist, as many lefties try to convince us today every time someone who is not a lefty says something that lefties do not like. Wetback means anyone who entered the USA by crossing a water border or its equivalent by swimming or rafting or tubing and thus getting wet in doing so (I hope you get it now) and later ithe term was watered down (no pun intended) to generally mean any illegal alien who entered our country. (Damn, next thing you know you will try to tell me I am sort of, kind of, more or less a racist because I called someone an illegal alien!) Anyway maybe the person who claim that is racist are the racist themselves! In addition, allow me to say - shame on anyone who tries to call someone a racist (even marginally so) who uses a factually descriptive or even a generalized non-racist term (since wetback applies to ANY illegal aliens who crosses our borders) that only lefties try to portray as having racist implications to suit their totally twisted ideology and thus try to make those on the right feel guilty about nothing over which they, or anyone, should actually express any guilt about!

One thing for sure, wetback has NEVER been a term of endearment.
I've had friends tell me it makes them feel like second class Americans.
It's a term I put away. Like the "N" word. I believe we are past any need for either one.

Never in my life have I ever come across either of those contextual meanings. It has always been very specific to Mexicans or Hispanics and very derogatory in nature.

There's always going to be racists, therefore there will always be derogatory terms. Biases is part of human nature, fear of the different.

True. But that doesn't mean anyone can use any of them anywhere they want without any consequences.
Most certainly. But I would rather know a person's bigotry up front, than go through all the trouble of trying to make friends with someone that I learn to detest. That's why the quelling of free speech is so dangerous. Let them speak.
