I think it's more about selling/expanding the Jesse James brand with shirts and hats then actually selling any firearms. It's has to be!!!
I'm don't know much about 1911's, but for y'all that do.... If you had $3,500 to spend on something 1911 or two, what would be your choice?

Something used by a GI badass to kill a German untermensch.

If I was going to spend that much change on a 1911 with someone's name on it. It would be a Nighthawk Heinie PDP, and I wouldn't even buy one of those.

That's the business model of Ferrari and it seems to work for them. ;)
I get your point, but Ferrari does actually win F1 championships from time to time and makes some very road-worthy sportscars....so they have a little substance to their style.

FUJJ is all flash...and sadly some people will probably buy that crap.

As a business model, winning F1 championships is a huge money-loser. Historically, Ferrari sold road cars at a small profit so they could field a race team. The race team has always been really just a giant bonfire onto which they constantly shovel currency.

However, when they figured out that the prancing horse could be licensed to makers of key rings, scarves, and all manner of tchotchkes, they really hit a gold mine. Ultimately, their "substance to marketing hype" ratio is pitiful.

FUJJ will have to work hard to have relatively less substance and more marketing hype than Ferrari. Ferrari has set a very high benchmark in that area.

Still, you may be right. FUJJ may be turn out to be even worse.

    Mercy, that's a depressing thought.

Some Hollywood posers would probably buy one. For that price you could get a real 1911 from a host of actual gunsmiths that are well known for building real tier 1 1911's.
