    "no way?"

The GOP needs to attack and not just keep going for "democrat lite", it's not working. The Democrats need to wake up and realize how much their guy is expanding power and how they may be used by an opponent in 3 years.

Yeah, no way. The Dems think and act as a monolithic unit on just about everything. Their guy is in the White House and he can do no wrong (that they'll ever admit to) therefore he can never be opposed. The GOP can attack all they want (and Good Lord I wish they would - Ted Cruz can't do it all by himself!) but without knowing they have the Senate votes to convict, impeachment will not and can not happen.

If it was tried now, the House would draw up articles of impeachment, the Senate would vote to acquit along party lines (with one or two Republicans voting with them because we have the fringe idiots who always do), and the press would say "The attempted impeachment of the first black President has failed, stripping the Republican Party of all semblance of civility and laying bare their true racist motivations..."

Good. If some of his support erodes, he may reign in his imperial impulses. But I wouldn't count on it. As long as the left owns the Senate, he'll be damned hard to smack down.

BTW, "distancing themselves" from Obama doesn't mean these Dems will oppose him. It means they'll be quieter about having voted for everything he's pushing, and they won't have him come give speeches for them when they're running for re-election...

I really dont know why you speak in such absolute terms. You dont know. In the 60s all the Southern states were solidly democrat. Things change.

If House democrats are threatened by Tea Party backed GOP incumbants or if Tea Partiers or Libertarians take those GOP seats, the House dems may HAVE to turn on BHO just to live to fight another day.

I speak in such absolute terms because the Democrats are as predictable as a made-for-SyFy movie.

Right now the Dems don't see the TEA Party as a threat because of all the work the mainstream GOP is doing to marginalize the TEA Party.

I see lots of negative out there but we have to have real hope for change. It can happen. We just have to work towards it and get lucky because i do agree the cards are stacked against those who want more liberty and less government. Pattersons performance in the Lt Gov debate is an example of encouraging positive news although i know it will take a lot to unseat Dewhurst.

It looked like a lot of them were standing, cheering, and drinking the Kool-Aid. I see 2014 as their final stand. I think many of them will double-down on the Obama dictatorship and the socialist rhetoric. If they are routed nation-wide and lose the Senate, maybe they will back off. I doubt it though, we are still pretty much a nation of morons, look how easily the socialists recently won in the Virginia governor's race, senate in New Jersey, and mayor of New York. Hell, we're even busy battling those bastard tooth and nail here in Texas and other states in the South. If the communist traitors retain the Senate, they will stay emboldened and it will be a long road forward. Also, the GOP offers little or no help in this battle. Sad
