Journalist Michael Hastings, best known for a Rolling Stone feature that led to the resignation of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, died early Tuesday in a car crash in Los Angeles, his employer said.

Rather odd, you look at photos of the car it definitely wasn't wrapped around the tree. Then you add on the engine 10s of yards away and not in the direction of travel. Guy sees it "jackknife and fly apart". Residents in a nearby house said they were woken by a loud boom that shook the house. Naw couldn't possibly be a bomb....

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact he was writing an investigative report on the CIA, and had just called wikileaks lawer a few hours earlier about releasing it. Nothing at all. Just a tragic accident.
