No idea, but Breyer is no friend of the Second, so whoever replaces him may not be that much worse - just younger so likely to be around longer.

The Dems already said they were going to fast track it. Trying to get it done before any more national elections. Supreme Court justices is a major reason I voted for Trump. I hope it gets stalled - but I doubt it.

Ultimately its not much of an issue. Breyer was far from the most conservative justice on the bench. Its theoretically a 6-3 split right now, so even appointing a radical SJW - its 5-4. Roberts is not terribly conservative either and has fucked us before (Obamacare, thanks for that) - best hope is that DeSantis or another "R" takes the white house in 24, and the Congress flips after this year's election. Then Roberts can retire.

I think it's more about what she can achieve
No way on Earth she could ever win POTUS, remember she was a candidate against Sleepy Joe, and the voters massively rejected her

Also, I think the crazy left doesn't want her as a Justice -- when she was AG in CA, she developed a reputation for being somewhat heavy-handed and not nearly deferential enough towards blacks (IOW, she didn't let blacks get away with murder, which the left thinks is appropriate)

And this replacement is definitely a bit of an issue. True, Breyer was a crazy leftist and his replacement will certainly continue in his footsteps, the issue isn't the politics, it's the years. The replacement means we're stuck with a lunatic lefty on the Court for 3 more decades. This is the legacy of losing the Presidency in 2020. We need to stop the bleeding ASAP by winning back the Presidency in 2024, before we get stuck with any more young lefties on the Court.
